Tailor is a free fashion search. It finds clothes in retailers' online shops and links you to them. You buy from the retailer, not from us.

These terms apply to the Tailor connector at mcp.tailor.ai, the website atwww.tailor.ai and its API (together, "Tailor"). Tailor is operated by Light Bulb Research (Pty) Ltd("we", "us"). By using Tailor you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

What Tailor does

Tailor keeps an index of public product listings from the retailers named on our homepage, in the countries they sell in. When your AI assistant searches it, Tailor returns matching products with photos, prices and a link to the retailer's product page. Tailor is free, and you don't need an account.

Buying is between you and the retailer

• We don't sell anything, take payments or handle orders, deliveries or returns. Every purchase is made on the retailer's own site, under the retailer's terms.
• Product details, prices, sizes and stock come from the retailers' public listings at the time we last checked them, and they can change. The retailer's own page is what counts. Please check it before you buy.
• Tailor isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any retailer. Store names, product names, trademarks and product photos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the products and link to them.
• We don't receive payment from retailers for showing or ranking their products.

Your AI assistant

Your assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) decides what to search for and writes its own suggestions. Its advice, wording and choices are not ours, and they can be wrong. Your use of the assistant is governed by its provider's terms.

Using Tailor fairly

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape or bulk-download the index, or use Tailor to build a competing dataset or product, except through normal, personal use of an assistant
• send automated traffic at a volume that disrupts the service, or try to get around rate limits or security
• upload photos you don't have the right to share, or photos of other people without their consent
• upload unlawful, sexual or abusive content, or use Tailor for anything unlawful

We may block traffic or remove uploads that break these rules.

Photos you upload

You keep the rights to photos you upload. You allow us to store and process them in order to find similar products, as described in the privacy policy. They are deleted after 90 days.

Availability and changes

We provide Tailor as it is, and it may change. We may add or remove stores and countries, change or suspend features, or stop the service, and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using Tailor, including relying on product information, prices or availability, purchases from retailers, or your assistant's suggestions. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability is limited to R1,000. This doesn't limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be excluded, including South Africa's Consumer Protection Act.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and if you keep using Tailor after a change, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
